Anyone else have General Grabber AT-2s? I put these tires on my truck in February and for about 3 months everything was fine but recently I have a vibration. It seems like it is coming from the rear of the truck. The trucks too light in the rear causing a hop? I replaced the shocks all the way around hoping this would help but nothing. Are u-joints to be pointed at? My Z has 91,000 miles on it. The u-joints are original because there are no grease fittings on them. Anyone else having these same symptoms with these tires or any other? Some help fellas

i would most definitely check your u joints, does it happen when you accelerate/decelerate? or is it constant?

if its constant i'd check to make sure your tires are balanced. i dynamic balance most of my offroad tires to prevent this.

Have the wheels balanced again to remove them as culprits. Weights can fall of quite easily. I have always marked my tires sale ivoice with a small diagram showing the amount of weights on each tire. Lets you know when a vibration comes up, what to potentially elininate. Mind you tires can change over time. however this can help you nail down and answer.

I've had the tires rebalanced and no resolution. The vibration does not only happen when I accelerate or decelerate, it happens most noticably around 55-70. My tires are producing a somewhat chopped inner edge. I have had it in to the tire guys 5 or 6 times. I have them rotated every 3,000 miles and the alignment has been checked and tuned up a few times. I'm just lost, I'm guessing it's just the tires and thats the way it is!

Check to see if any of the belts are broken, look for noticable bulges in the tread an side wall that run in a straight direction, radially across the tire.
Check the driveshaft by hand to see if there is any play in it. You can also try gently prying betwwen the yokes to look for play as well.

I pu tnew shocks all the way around, so I eliminated that. Is anyone else having a "clunk" after they go through an intersection or round a turn and then give it gas again? My dad's
04' colorado does it also but not as noticably as mine. Is this common? Anyone else experience this too?

1. are they both 4x4 ? 2.mark the tires and rims on jacks and do a run out center of the tire
and the outside of the rim at the lip. The clunk is the drive shaft . My clunk started at 40,000
miles.

put the truck up on jacks and mark the center if the tread with yellow chawk
now put a pointer gage to the tire center and spin it . It will make a line to see
if the tire is bad . Go the the rim and use a dial gage , spin the tire to see if the
rim is out of round . Slow...

You think the stealship would have check that and made a statement one way or the other . 91,000 miles could make it time to rebuild . My S-10 was the same way. If you keep them greased they last . My S-10 was droped 3/4 at 30,000 miles .
