Ok so this weekend was my first time trailering a full load with my new lift wheels tires Abd ebc brake pads.. I had 3 sport quads and a dirt bike set up like one quad in the bed and the other 2 and the dirt bike on a pretty light trailer now first thing I notice is the truck is a complete dog trying to go up hills which pretty much the whole 3 hour drive upstate was but wasent to bad now on the way home going down a pretty steep hill I start coming up to a light at an intersection so I'm braking and getting closer and the brakes are completely faded and I thought I was gona go through the light but stoped just in time but the brakes where smoking like crazy once I came to a stop the rest of the was home was fine but at that point I was alil nervous... Now I want some opinions on improving my brakes and one of my buddy's I was with said to down shift my auto when going down the steep hills but I don't know how good that is for the tranny any opinions?

You need a trailer with brakes if your going to pull heavy loads.
I pull 2000lbs with an S-10 no prob with 500+ in the bed. to Daytona Beach
and back never had brake fade or smoke.
