Does anyone know what the 4 speed auto trans. On the 04 colorado can handle?

but some guys are going 9 sec 1/4 mile times on them.. so really what is the whole question you would like to know?
Some will take a serious beating in stock form and some will let go easy. Basically keep the temps at a normal range and change your fluid and filter every 50K-60K miles and you'll be good up to the 400ft lbs range max. If you have the 5 cylinder and going boosted you'll probably find the limit of the engine before the transmission.
Yeah the ideal operating temp range for the 4L60e is under 185*, I ran a B&M stack plate cooler in series with the OEM cooler and mine stayed between 125-160* year round.
I normally do my trans fluid and filters every 30k and have never had one fail on me.
I guess what we need to know is.....why do you ask? Are you planning to do a swap, add boost or N20?
