Which is better and gives more power

Biggest debate in the history of mankind.

They both have the potential to make substantial power, but it all depends on how your motor is set up, how many lbs of boost you are running, and the actual setups you have.

Turbo's big downside is turbo-lag, but this can be tuned down considerably
And Super's have a big downside (I think it can't make the power a turbo can at WOT, but don't quote me)

So I would say pick one and just go with it.

Haha that's what I was thinking. I don't see how $200 can make like 100 horse. Maybe like 5-10 horse. But my truck will never be on a drag strip. Haha. Before the turbo or supercharger. I'm adding 4 more inch to the 2 in I have now and running 33s with 4:10 gears. Just thinking a turbo would sound sweet and give more needed power with bigger tires.

turbo should be easier since its been done by a few people and you might be able to find a manifold if you look hard enough. if you get the right turbo you can pick where your power come in. a little turbo will give you less power but it will come in sooner a fucking large one will give you tons of power but you want see full boost until about 5k rpms.

Electric superchargers are as much of a scam as throttle body spacers and performance chips.

Roots and Centrifugal superchargers both provide instant power when you press on the gas (torque) for there is no "lag". They do lack the power that a turbo could make but not by much to consider not getting one. They also allow you to run a longtube header.

Turbos in most cases produce the most hp at the top of the rpm band. Most headers that run straight into the turbo for these trucks aren't the most efficient designs in the world but get the job done. A longtube header setup can work if you have the turbo in a remote location. a big turbo spools up slow but allows for the most hp whereas a smaller turbo spools up faster for good torque but sacrifices some hp up top. Modern diesel trucks use 2 turbos, one that's small and one that's larger, for optimum performance.

Personally my favorite for daily use would be a turbo for the fact that your not always in full boost while driving. This puts less stress on your driveline and helps your truck stay rolling longer with less breakdowns.

Actually only the new fords have 2 turbos stock. Duramax and cummins only have one stock. I have a white 4 door 2008 f-250 6.4 with stock twin turbo. I'm not sure if the new 6.7 fords have twin but im pretty sure they do but I know the 6.4 does. And only fords do. I think if I do a turbo I'll put a bigger one on it.

IMO, turbos will be safer on a stock engine than supercharger. Why? Less TQ at low rpm. Keeps the bottom end happy.

Turbo is free HP. Supercharger takes (for example) 20 horse off the belt to make 100, netting you 80 horse. Not as efficient as a turbo

No turbo kits for the 3.5's. I wanted to turbo mine, but not enough to make a "kit". I'll use nitrous instead.

I'd like to have a supercharger built kinda like the rk ones and the w2w. It shouldnt be too hard to put a kit together. Just have the mounting bracket made to mount to the power steering pump like the others do.

Hahahahahahhaha bullshit my 6.4 is bone stock and will out run and out pull a 7.3 or 6.0 with a chip and straight piped. 6.4s are the shit. Believe it or not ive pulled over 20,000lbs for 150 to a gas well site. Never had a prob with motor just trans. With throu two trans already at 100,000 miles.

Duramax are fast as hell and are badass with efi live. Just gotta lift the hell out of them to run big tires. My buddy drives a stock size duramax and it drags pulling in my mile long driveway. Gotta have tires and ground clearance to make it where I live. As for cars. Hope you don't like you underbody. Haha
