My 2011 5.3, has the pad on the inside of the hood. Not sure if all 2011's have it, or what other years it is installed on. I'm sure other guys will be able to provide better info. Maybe part of the 5.3 package.

Does anyone know if the truck comes with any kind of sound or heat barrier under the hood? .

2011 Canyon 5.3.... have to ignore the cut-outs for the cowl hood.

 

I believe only the v8s got the liner from the factory

 

2010 Crew Cab V8 - have liner shown in ronvc pics but w/o cutouts

Been there since I picked up at dealer in 2010.

 

I think the pad is a discontinued part, but there might be one out there someplace. GM part number 25863980. The retainers are GM 20064875.

i didn't have one on mine, I've been looking at junk yards weekly.I have seen at least 10 trucks they all don't have the insulation pad.

 

My 2010 Crew Cab V8 4x4 came with the insulator pad from the factory.

 

The underhood insulator pad was standard with the 5.3L V8 equipped trucks.

 

my dealer in canada wants $170CAD for one, i can just hope one turns up at a junk yard lol. I might even just buy the square insulation sheets and DIY one. The sheets are $20 some glue or tape for the edges should do the trick.

 

I have a 2011 Canyon 5.3 I got new in May 2011 and it did not come with a pad.
It is an extended cab 4x4 Z71 if that might make a difference as to having a pad or not

ps got it the old fashion way, used an order form to have one built the way I wanted it..
