Your caliper is probably sticking, that's my guess

 

Whats a way to fix that clean it out with lube cleaner? Or rebuild it with new rings and bushings? Very worst case new caliper?

I`ll make sure I lube the sliders properly.

 

Either the caliper is sticking as stated above or the pads are not sliding on the bracket properly. make sure the slides are lubed with brake silicone lube.

 

You gotta keep the 2 caliper slide pins lubed up or they will rust up and lock in place.

 

Thanks SuperMod I`ll make sure I lube them up and are in good working condition. Hopefully that`ll solve the inner uneven wear. :thumbup:

 

ive changed my pads twice on my truck. even with lubed sliders and new clips they still wear a little unevenly...

 

it helps to lube the pad clips, the part the pads sit in in the mounting bracket. sometomes the pads get hung up and cant slide. the caliper pins are usally at fault as suggested above. I take my calipers off and lube the slide pins annually. And if im wheeling ill service the pins again.

 

this happened to my stock pads. when i changed them out i was double sure to lube the hell out of the slide pins like mentioned. been keeping an eye on them whenever the wheels are off since and then and seems to be ok now. nothing up with the caliper

The first pic is the Passenger side its good the other pic is the driver side see the ueven wear and then the wear between the driver and pass. I extra lubed the slider pins but any other ideas to what may cause this maybe i need new caliper and caliper bracket i dunno?

 

I know this is not the answer, but its rather common with floating calipers. I have also noted this same issue with my truck.

 

do you have any pull when the brakes are applied? you may have a sticking caliper. i would keep an eye on the new ones and if the wear is the same then replace your calipers. remember to lube where the pads rest in the bracket.

 

i would say its time for a driver side caliper..

 

So if it continues time for a new caliper huh.

 

So installed a new caliper and slider pins and hopefully this solves this problem.
