I’m once again asking for your technical support. Meme joke. The trucks a 2.9l 08 LS manual 4x4. I just had my third water pump die on this truck. None of them have made it to 100,000 I’m gonna go ahead and put in a e fan, has anyone found a better pump you can put in after the e fans? I’d like to go electric but I can’t find one? I’d at least like a better one than the oem. Thanks in advance

I don't think any manufacturer of water pumps sees the 2.9 or the I5 Colorado engines in any need of a pump better than OEM. Go new and find the best warranty you can.
Hopefully 4th try is the charm, I went with the car quest “premium” one this time, I just hope I get another 100,000 out of the truck to test wether or not it’s better than the delco’s

I removed the stock fan off my water pump. Installed a 69 dollar electric fan from autozone and haven't had anymore issues. I also am on my 3rd water pump. Getting the weight off that small seal and bearing really helped. Stock pump lasted less than 100k miles. And only got 25k miles off the second.

I installed a $30 aluminum shroud, $35 dollar electric fan, $15 thermostat switch and a $7 three way switch so I could turn the fan on and off if I wanted to, I’m gonna try to attach a picture but it probably won’t work, I just like electric pumps, have always used them when I mod something, never not been able to find one before, giving it’s normally muscle cars I’m doing that to
