im between doing a skyjacker 4" kit or lift spindles. i kinda want to go with the 5" lift spindles just because no one has done them yet on a z71, plus the two guys with 3" lift spindles look sick as shit, i can only imagine what 5" will look like

there is a how to on here or coloradofans.com for cranking the t-bars, it really only takes a 15mm socket and ratchet and a marker to mark where the bolt is, before i put keys on i had mine about 5 turns and it sit pretty nice. the aal's can be done in like 30 min. there are how to's on it too. just make sure u have some c clamps. shackle would be my last resort just if you ever haul anything, i have an aal and when i put my stereo in it dropped me almost an inch in the rear
15mm socket? you bolts were def more smaller than mine

ya im curious to see it too. the 5" spindles are high but it would be cheaper than a 4" kit, even figuring lifting the rear, and be higher so i think thats the route im going to go

GL with the 5" spindle, i couldnt find one worth experimenting with so i went with the 3". if you do go that way and dont like it we can swap, just giving you options bud. i personally didnt want to buy an 5" and it not work properly but i honestly dont see why it wouldnt now.

ya i was off the the socket size, i think its a 21mm. i was a lil afraid to try them at first for the price but if you guys haven't really had any problems out of the 3"s i don't see why they wouldn't work

its still a toss up between that or just getting a full 4" kit. mine goes offroading more than some of the other guys, im not too sure about doing the spindles and cutting my lca
4" kit all the way bro if your actually going off-road. The crossmembers to lower the control arms act as a differential guard, it fixes the tie rod angles and makes your alignment stay in a little better when beating on the truck off road. Also you can get more travel from the 4" which spindles will not offer by simply not using the extended bumstops. Just a warning it will beat on your cv's though and increase your risk of rollover at highway speeds if you leave the bumpstops out but I don't mind working on my truck and I'm no speed demon anymore so I was incredibly happy with just splurging and getting the 4" kit. Just to warn you though the install is not fun at all if you do it yourself.

ya im leaning more on a skyjacker kit, i have been thinking about it forever but i should do something in the next month or so. i will be doing it myself, labor around here is too much for a suspension kit, about $1,000 i could use in other mods

if your going to be doing offroading, i wouldnt want to compromise the structural integrity of my truck, i would go with the 4" kit.

the part cut gives no structual integrity. the piece thats cut out is 3"x3" and most of that space is already drilled out so you can get a socket on the stock BJ bolts. like i tell everyone, do as you please but if your willing to pay $600 more for only a 1" taller stance and less ground clearance be my guest. i just thought if i had posted it up like i did more guys would join the revolution.

i e-mailed cst and for the spindles, brake lines and hard ware for the front its $789. i will prolly be undecided until i post pics of a lift on the truck. haha i need a nudge one way or the other
