Wheel and Tire Opinions please!

Hey guys!

I have a 2012 Colorado WT, extended cab (I attached a pic). I need to get new tires for it within the next few weeks... since I need new tires anyways, I'm debating whether to get new wheels for it at the same time. Right now it has stock wheels with a 235/70R16 tire. I absolutely love the look of lifted trucks, but not sure if I can spend the money on a lift kit right now. I would love the truck to look more truck-like/aggressive... any ideas on how to achieve this look without a lift kit? I'm debating getting 17" wheels. The guy at Discount Tire said I could do 235/60R17. He also recommended passenger tires, but I'm leaning towards light truck all-terrain tires to get the more aggressive looking tread. I like the look of the Ion Alloy 141 wheels (see pic) but I think 9" is going to be a little too wide.

So... if you have any recommendations on tires and wheels, please let me know! Would also be open to suggestions on lift kits for down the road.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Go to the Discount Tire site, you can look at
diff tires and see what you like. +1 or +2 size.

having also a z85 suspension, I was able to fit 245/70/16's (16x7 rim), 255/65/16's (16x7 rim) and 235/65/17's, 255/60/17's (17x7.5 rim) with minimal front sway bar rub. all tire's were about 29.1-29.5" tall x 9.8-10.2 wide ... look here ... https://www.355nation.net/forum/wheels-tires/9278-post-your-wheels.html or using google images type 355nation followed by any tire size), example 355nation 235/60/17 or Colorado 235/60/17, etc ...

Don't know if this helps, but here are some pics of my 2010 Canyon Z71 with BF Goodrich All Terrain TA KO2's in the factory size (for my model year Z71) of LT265/70 R17. The rims are the factory GMC rims. The suspension is stock Z71.

30” tall x 10.2” wide, that’s an impressive fit on a stock z85, good job !

Thank you, I like the looks of your truck too! It would look great with some all terrain tires. I've been happy with the tires I put on- they look great and seem to handle mud very well. Please post a pic of your truck when when you have the new tires- I'd love to see it! I would love to lift my truck too... maybe one day.
