I just seen a '82 Toy solid axle with 4.11 for $200 tonight on CL. It just makes me want to buy a ext cab and lift it.
And the addiction continues...
A lifted truck for Sat. afternoon.
A lowered truck for Sat. night.

Who's first on this SAS - RacerX or Dents-n-Dings?

that means he sourced an axle, spent the day rebuilding it, and is waiting on a toyota IFS steering box and springs from marlin crawler and a SAS kit from Sky's offroad manufacturing.

just a guess.

I'm close but shane might have all the parts for his.I found the steering box, pitman arm and springs for the front.I just need to get my other truck ripping at full power again and pull the canyon off the road for awhile.Full size axles front and rear FTW! :naughty:

I am pulling mine off the road for a bit so I can build this truck the right way.I got a pile of parts to pick up in another town.Including some really nice chevy springs.Theres no competition here.I build this truck because I can and GM can't.IFS is weak on these from the factory.

OK - not exactly a "wheelin' with Dents" adventure, but this is probably the best place to post my "meeting of Shane".

Shane's a good guy - I'd highly recommend a drive to Oregon to see the sites! If you've seen the pics with Mount Hood in the background, that's more or less where were. Mount Hood is "take your breath away" amazing - it's 11,000 feet high and only about 80 miles from the coast. It dwarfs the mountains around it.

On with the family photos...don't worry, there's not too many and it's not like your Aunt's vacation to Florida in 1938 and 5,014 pictures to watch. Short and painless...

Shane and Jim (Shane's on the left and, um, well, Jim's on the, you know, other side):
(Yes, I'm skinny, that's how I got the nickname "Spindly")

Shane's interior is a sight to see!

Shane showing my kids the way up (note: outside of the nice stairs and chainlink protecting them from the 200' drop, but that's what boys do)

(The pictures from the top don't do the view justice so I won't bother posting them. You can see Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Adams, Mt. Rainer, Mt. Hood, and Mt. Jefferson. Mt. St. Helens is 30 miles away, and Mt. Rainer is 100 miles away and it looks like it's only 15 miles away)

Wife and I (on the right) and the friends we travelled with. This is mid-July and they're still skiing on Mount Hood - I wish I brought ski gear 'cause that would've been a blast. I need to go back, the latest I've skied is about June 10th or so:

Hiking at Larch mountain - well, not really hiking, it's a paved trail to the lookout:
(Shane's farthest left, I'm farthest right)

Multnomah falls - 600' of waterfall. We hiked up to the top and played in the river pools above the waterfall. Hot day, uphill walk, and the water was perfect:

Shane, thanks for the personalized tour! It was great to meet you and the family.

:355group: It is really nice there, worth the trip. I've been all over that area and Multnomah falls myself. If I wasn't a Colorado native, I would be in Oregon. I love the Umpqua area too. Looks like a good trip Jim

The Mt. Hood area is pretty country I miss getting to go to that area almost every summer.

I WANNA GO!!!! Love seeing pics of that area. Been to over 35 states and the closest I've ever been to the PNW is West Yellowstone, ID...AND I have family in OR! Sad really. Maybe I'll drive my ass out there and visit family, Wheel with Shane, and take in the sights!
