Iv got hanyes.. its not very good for engine rebuild

 

I haven't found a good shop manual in quite some time. Online videos are my go-to these days. Good luck. The Chiltons manuals from the 70's were great and very detailed, but nothing i've seen today is very good. Might just be that the 70's vehicles were much simpler that today's vehicles. That does make quite a difference.

 

if you are able/want to spend the money get the gm manuals this is the hanyes 2004-12 compared to the gm 2005 colorado canyon only. and this is an example of the engine section.

 

That larger book looks like the ticket to helping me with my engine rebuilding. Where did you get that beast and what did you spend on it?

 

Helms are definitely worth the price imo

The repair instructions and the images appear to be the same as I have seen in dealer repair manuals over the years

The site is a little odd to navigate initially, but becomes familiar w use.

I have the same Haynes manual as 2005 z71. It has been very helpful but there are differences in my truck that aren't in the book. When that happens, I try to find someone on YouTube with a truck exactly like mine. I've been able to find what I need so far.

 

Bought complete actual GM Service Manual for my 2005 on line as digital download for $20.00 and EVERYTHING is there, all catagories,pictutes, parts explosions etc. Well worth the purchase.

I don't know of any complete, detailed, Service Manuals for GM vehicles in digital format. The GM Manufacturers Service Manuals are sold in print only. It appears that GM realizes that if they produced a Service Manual in digital format they would only sell one copy and 15 minutes after the sale it would be posted online.

Check with the 2nd Gen Colorado Owners and see if they have any info. Most of them hang out over at coloradofans.com

 

Helminc is way too expensive with shipping and custom fees tried this manual and its great actually here attached some screnshots
