So I'm thinking about having more of the interior painted.

This is what I've got in mind so far, emphasis on "so far."

1) pillars
2) door armrest (I'm sure it has a name)
3) the triangular piece circled
4) middle console piece (the tray)

Any other simple pieces? Worth it to do the extended cab door handles on the inside? Little things like that I'd probably do.

i'd pass on the third piece and possibly the pillar. that would give u a ton of blue in a small area which would be difficult to complement in the rest of the cabin

agree it will look good with the panel holding the switches in the door painted tho thats all i think you should paint.

Agreeing with you on the 3rd piece, it looks awkward. I'm undecided on the pillars. I'll never like the factory console unless I do something to it---too expensive to buy a different one though.

Yeah I did a search and found the links and articles related to the CTS console, but no pics. Everyone posted pics straight from eBay, and now that link is dead.

Help, does anyone have something to add or have pics of it someplace....maybe:shrug:


Yeah I want to paint some of my stuff too, but cannot decide on the color and what pieces. i dont want to over do it.

I chose the blue color for the trim because I had my mind set on getting the blue/white dome light and then asked James to put blue LEDs in the map lights.

Once these get painted I'll throw some updated pics up maybe that'll give you a better idea of what parts to paint.

I still have a 78 Vette that needs a major overhaul, and it has to be done right. Modifications or restoration, either way, never stop.

Exactly... Make it look like it came that way from the factory! I'll be doing my interior as soon as I move (hopefully early to mid-April)

just a "just so you know" with the door panel arm rest. i painted mine (the whole door panel actually) and like most peeps when i take my seat belt off im lazy about it and let go as soon as i unclick it.

well the ending result is i now have several chips b/c when i let go that seat belt buckle flys and smashes up against the arm rest on the door panel.

I took off the 2 pieces that have the window/lock controls, the console tray, and just so the back wouldn't feel left out the inside door handles. 5 pieces in all, should go pretty fast. I'll probably stop there with painting for a looong time.

I put the decal stickers on the rear window tonight too. 1 355 Nation just beneath the brake light, 1 CanyonFans mountain decal across the bottom middle, and 2 CanyonFans that mirror each other on the bottom outside corners. I'll take a picture tomorrow when it dries up outside.
