Re: Its alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there are a few guys on the S10Forum that have BUILT 2.2's WITH turbos and STILL running 16's :lmaop:
wow, now i don't feel so bad about having no luck with my mods.

I remember i had a co-worker had one back in the day. He moved up to a heavy ass early tahoe and was so happy about the power

:lmaop: THIS GUY KNOWS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!

Re: Its alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ricky what drop DID your truck have on it, and have you ever measured fenderwell height. i have an 01 2.2 AUTO with the same SS wheels, it was lowered when i got it, not sure how much in the front though. the rear has 3" blocks and is at 29" the front is at 27.5ish

mines extended cab so i had the dreaded vibration, found the JTR pinion angle correction kit and was like PFF so today i made my own and it cured it........ only had the truck for like 3 days now........ pulling a leaf tomorrow most likely to level it out.

i need seats too, i know all the newer s10/blazer stuff will fit but any idea what years?

and dont even start talking about SLOW when you have a 5 speed, mines AUTO and extended cab...................

i'll send you a pic as soon as i get one.

Re: Its alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah post some up..

no I never measured it

its got 2in drop spindles, ZQ8 leafs and HAD 3in blocks..

im gonna do a 2in drop spring and 3in blocks.. but cant figure the vibration out and S10forum is the worst at asking questions..

Re: Its alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTF, it looks way lower than 2" in the front... i guess pulling a leaf would give me the same drop as you then, i was told it was 2/3. might do that today if i'm slow at work.

shim your trans up 3/4 of an inch then put the blocks back in. the pinion angle is off on ALL the s10 not just x-cabs... jacking the trans up 3/4" should take care of most of the vibration. i made some spacers to lift mine but you can use 10mm washers, just stack 7 of them and get some 10x1.5x45mm bolts to bolt the trans mount back to the trans......

i have alot of work to do before i feel comfortable posting pics of this junk.....
