Figured I'd go ahead and start a build thread on here for my truck since its officially down for the winter....
Some of you O.G.'s know it as "lances truck"

My s10, the rado, and a buddy of mines OBS stepside chevy that got stolen

some of the things I ended up fixing...
battery tray
Image

Image

some of the "sick" wiring on it

When I got it the uppers were raised crazy high, also slotted with no way to hold adjusment (they liked to adjust themselves WHILE I WAS DRIVING)
This is all the lift it would get (also wouldnt lay out)
Image

poop dick arms that are still on it and how high the old mounts were
Image

shorter mounts with poop dick arms lol
Image

The new lift, it also got lower than it did before...

When I bought the truck it had some paint blemishes, not bad really, now the paint is just falling off, and the bed has literally taken a shit on me. There has not been ONE TIME that I have driven it for more than three months without a total major screw up. Also when I bought it i was told it didnt lay up front because the tie rod ends "maxed out" thats funny, cause when I looked someone had drilled oh the taper on spindles so the tie rods were super loose, the rack and pinion was raised an 1.25, the toe in and out was GOD AWFUL.It didnt lay because it technically it did lay, THE FRONT CROSSMEMBER, now that i drug that off it finally lays and it flexes and pops whenever I take a hard turn. There are no pictures of these things because well, who wants to see pictures of total crap. Anyhow My truck is hopefully on a much brighter path
Its gonna be the WORLDS FOURTH CREW CAB LONG BED COLORADO OMGZZZ

This picture was taken during the moment that a realized not everyone can be a winner, and that im definitely not one...

The rails and fish plates

Had a serious hankerin to work on something this weekend and I took this delivery as a sign to work on my own crap
Image

So I made this kajigger for some 1/2" NPT bungs I had laying around to keep them all around the same height
Image

And I made my rearmost crossmember (lot of work drilling super holes like this)
This is the side facing the cab
Image

This is the bottom and the backside
Image

Stuck some valves in it and laid everything where I wanted it
Image

Image

The compressor will go on the left side of the battery right into the crossmember, the other hole for a chuck, the two bungs on the bottom will be to connect two 3 gallon air tanks, one on each side, and the four bungs on the front are for all four lift valves, ad there will be plenty of room left for my cell, god bless longer beds ;)

Re: My truck

At first I was like, rear frame air tank! But then I was like nevermind.

Way to take care of business and sprucin' it up Barry. Good luck buddy.

1. Myself
2. The guy in Indiana that never got his out of the driveway and I haven't heard anything about in years
3. ?
4. You...

I know of at least two others in progress right now, one in Tennessee, one in New Jersey but who's the third one?

and I wanted the whole back half to be my air tank but things just wouldnt have worked out as "clean" all my wires will be going through the rails this way

Re: My truck

Somebody needs to be the first "long bed crew cab dually Colorado laying body with a Duramax under the hood on 24inch Alcoa's" lol. :naughty: Nice work tech subscribed
If only you had seen my original rendering, I have access to everything but the motor, and I passed up a dually bed the other day to gut up lol, just lost interest since that idea came up lol, I'll dig up a picture of it

Re: My truck

Pretty neat rendering. I think it could pull off some telescoping side mirrors.

80s Ford dually bubbles would look like booboo, too square for the truck.
Mid 90s Silvy dually bubbles are where it's at.
