To me it looks like he kept the stock fenders. The body is lifted high enough that it flows over the tires, which are forward the usual axle placement. Without the front bumper, it just kind of hangs there.

Very Nice!!!!!

Thank you everyone for the comments, it really means alot! The truck has been a work in progress over the last 2 years and its come along nicely, but not with a few bumps along the road, but it makes it all worth it when I stab the throttle at the races :) We ditched the Dana 44 over the winter and swapped to the Dana 60 b/c we kept snapping axle shafts every time we launched off the line with the 44" tires, and those were even the Ground Hawgs up front! We put a spool in the 60 with Boggers up front now and its been good minus a couple stripped ring and pinions. The motor is a 565 BBC running at 14.5:1 compression on 114 octane VP racing fuel. We also spray 500 HP of nitrous to it just for an extra kick :D

The fenders up front are extended 7 inches, but unfortunately I do not have any pictures of when it was getting done. I have a buddy of mine that did all the paint and bodywork and he chopped them up for me. I don't have the patience like he does when it comes to bodywork lol. The only reason we had to change them was because of rules for one of the classes I run it. The middle of the wheel well had to be centered over the axle to be considered in "stock " location, so we changed it around to work for it and it actually isn't too noticeable without looking closely. I wanted to toss a bumper up there, but I decided to keep the weight off and keep the truck on the Jenny Craig diet lol

so sick! I have been watching your youtube channel for the past 20 minutes haha. I've got a build on my truck goin on as well nothing compared to yours not even close.

I'm gonna eventually put in coilovers and and fab up shock hoops. Dont have a lot of experience of skills with welding and what not, when im ready ready to build it id love to bounce some ideas off you and come see your truck too. By the way im right down the road in Oxford.

Thanks MotorCityRado, i always find myself watching them too with the season being over for the year lol. Let me know what your working with and I'd be more than happy to help ya out with it, just let me know what you got in mind. I actually work in Oxford across the street from Meijers on M-24, I do design work for an LED lighting company called Relume Technologies.

As for the truck this winter, I've got a few new ideas for it that I wanna try out to help improve the suspension. Need to change/adjust 3 link bars up front and add a shackle to the front leaf springs to help with travel. Also looking at putting bigger heads on the truck (Dart 380's with a sheet metal intake to top it off. If that all that goes into effect with the motor, im gonna order the fiberglass hood from mcneil racing and do my own cowl towards the windshield since I'll need more room under the hood for the carb and air cleaner. Also looking at ditching the rear 3 link bars and changing to a triangulated 3 link in the rear to allow for more travel and and clearance from the frame. Gonna go out and fire the truck up this weekend so the garage can smell good for a bit :naughty:

I love this truck but you ever thought of fitting a peice of sheet metal to the head light area and putting a decal on it to look like a head light just a suggestion might make this beast look cleaner still love this thing though

I've thought about putting something there this winter, it always looked a little different without those lights being there. I have the original lights that go in there, but they were too big and I didn't want them to fill up with water and mud from bogging.

Well its been a minute since I've done any updates, but we've been making lots of changes on the Colorado as of late to help get some more horsepower and upgrades that I wanted to do from last summer.

New Dart 380 Pro 2 Heads to get things flowing a little bit quicker
Image

New set of DEC Headers, 2 1/4" to 5" collectors with flappers
Image

Brand new 15" Real Wheel aluminum beadlock rims for the cut tires, wont be shiney for long though lol
Image

Used set of Weld beadlock wheels I got from Ebay on the rear 44" Boggers
Image

Added a set of Wilwood rotor and brakes to the front end also to give it some extra stopping power
Image

Motor back in the truck

Image

Rolled it outside before we dropped the motor in. We did a completely new mud shiled to help protect the motor better and keep the mud out. The setup is also completely assembled together so it all comes off in 14 bolts to allow easy access to the motor and when we wash it
Image

We also added a few bars to the cage for some added security and changed around the front end setup by adding some shackles to the front end and pivot bars on the rear of the front 3- Link bars. Kind of a different style setup, but I think it should work fine for what we need to do. Ill post up more pictures as I get them uploaded. Trucks Gone wild is coming here on May 5th for a show in Romeo so we're gonna try and have the truck ready for it or theres a competition bog the following weekend in Mesic, MI. Thanks for stopping by everyone, keep watching for updates!
