'73 Ford Truck I'm working on.

It's a neighbor of my parents. I don't know all the options or anything, just that his uncle bought the truck in 74 with 8,000mi (someone traded it in a year after buying it new), and has owned it till about 5 years ago, when he gave it to this guy.

It was from TN, so it was already pretty clean. He just had the body sandblasted, and all I have to do is fix all the dents. No rust work, no patching, no grinding, nothing. I'll be doing the paint work too! He knows I'm just a body man, but he still wants me to paint it anyway, probably because anyone else will charge him an arm and a leg! He doesn't want it "Barret Jackson" nice, but just a nice driver. It's going 2 tone, red on the top and bottom, and white in the middle.

I'll be updating this thread with pics, so keep checking back! :355:

He borrowed a sandblaster and did the frame his self in his driveway to save some money. He races super modifieds on the weekends, so he has a BIG ass barn with anything you'd need where we're working on it. Just about everything on the truck only needed cleaned and painted, so he sprayed some black and silver Rustoleum on it all. Came out pretty good! He's also a Ford mechanic, so he freshened up the motor a great deal...

Pretty cool Josh!!! Tim are you sure that isnt a 351?? I know the 351 has the thermostat in the intake like that. My 400 has in on the block. and only one gas tank pfft mine has two! sucks filling them up though! Anyway I cant wait to see the build on this! It should be pretty sweet

You're no dummy. Josh was living in Florida with family and you did see threads. He was going to go to school in Jacksonville and he was staying with his great aunt and uncle (which are awesome btw). He was only there for about six weeks before he found out that he could get in to the school in PA, closer to home.

Babe~ That truck is a lot better off than what I pictured it to be. That's gonna be a cake job for you that I'm sure you'll be done with in no time!

Rebuilt the original Ford 360. Nothing fancy, just freshened it up a bit.

Busted ass yesterday and today and got the bed, and both doors ready...

During the truck's 1st year, before his uncle bought it, they had some body work done here and there. The big spots on each bedside were like this, but not this bad.

It's actually old ass bondo that the sandblaster didn't get off, which is wierd I think? I would imagine if sandblasting gets rust off metal, it would be good enough to blast bondo right off the panel? lol

Still have to do the cab. He's been messing with it, but he's a mechanic, so he's pretty much just wasting bondo and sandpaper...
