So i designed and built my bar finally, now the question is the skid plate.
Want some feedback as to if i should go with a skid plate only on the top portion, (outlined in red) or go all the way down (outlined in blue with the red portion).
I no going all the way down obstructs my oil filter accesibilty but Ive thought of that. What ya think

run some bars down to inbetween your a arms and run it all the way down for sure. what good is a skid plate if its only above your frame. plus extra strength in the front never hurt anybody. jus weld tabs so the skid plate is removable so u can still access under there if needed.

thats what i was thinking with the tabs. i bought them ahead of time. just wasnt sure what i wanted to do when i built the bar
and i cant really tell but IMO id drop the top bar a little below the headlights. maybe to where it is aligned with the top of the bumper that way its out of the way of your headlight beam. but i cant tell how high it is now.
it is below the headlight beam, just the angle of the camera makes it look above it. good advice though man

theres alot of ways to do it. i like the tabs only because you can easily take it off to clean it up or work under the truck. what i have seen alot of ppl do is drill holes along the down bars and just pop rivet them. either way works ive personally never pop rivet a skid plate on any of my bumpers but i dont see why it wudnt work.
