How much more horsepower can I expect with the following mods on a 2006 Colorado I4, 2.8L, Auto, 2wd, crew cab, 45,000 miles:

1. K & N Cold Air Intake ($100)

2. Remove and gut out the exhaust manifold catalytic converter. (FREE)

3. Cut out 2nd catalytic converter and replace with straight pipe. ($25)

4. Add a Flowmaster 40 series muffler with dump at muffler. ($75)

5. Do the custom coil-over-plug boot mod. ($25)

6. Install Corvette tranny servos including OD. ($150)

7. A tune. ($250-300)

Im not worried about emissions...not where im from.....

I'm looking for about 220 Horsepower....

Launched for the 2004 model year as a replacement for the smaller, outdated S-10 pickup, the Chevrolet Colorado is still in its first generation. From the start it was available in standard cab, extended cab and crew cab configurations.

Initially, there were three main trim levels -- base level Work, midlevel LS and luxury-equipped LT. The LS was replaced for 2009 with the similar VL and the following year the midlevel trim was dropped, leaving just the Work and LT versions. Until 2007, the Colorado was powered by a 2.8-liter inline-4 with 175 hp or a 3.5-liter inline-5 that made 220 hp. For 2007, those engines grew to 2.9 liters with 185 hp and 3.7 liters with 242 hp, respectively. The V8 engine was not offered until '09.
