Hello all! :wavey: I'm new here , but an old 355 Colorado fan. I had an '05 granite blue Colorado CC with the 2.8L 2WD Z85 with a Lakeland cap on it. I loved it's for it great utility, good looks, gas mileage, and durable reliability. It only had 51,500 miles but I wanted to get a new one thinking GM might be getting ready, in a year or two, to downsize, resize to somethng less than what we love about the Colorado CC.
However, it's still in the family since my daughter and son-in-law wanted it, so that's a good thing. My new Colorado acquisition is a 2010 crew cab 2WD Z71 3,7L in the new Steel Green Metallic. I picked it up last Thursday and had to run back home here from central Wisconsin where my wife and I were spending the week taking care of her mom just home from surgery. The truck came in and a local auto show rebate was about to expire. When I got back in town I headed straight to the dealer and my Colorado had just been taken off the delivery truck! I was scheduled for delivery at 3PM and all went well, including the transfer of ownership of my '05 to my daughter.
So then, here I am I've got 265 total miles on the new one, about 45 of it city and the rest state highway and a little interstate. Got down to half a tank, it took 10.3 gallons (217 miles) and averaged about 21 mpg. Not bad for just breaking in! I bought some new floor mats, ordered a new cap, and am looking at running boards. Any suggestions? I'm leaning to some Luverne stainless steel.
As soon as the fog clears here and the clouds go away in a day or two I may try to post some pictures.:wavey:
