looks good except for the big star on the hood and the ghey looking stripes down the side. I agree that looks like a '68 to me too (though I'm no expert).

yeah the nice thing is the whole chassis is a 2006 including the unibody

so the whole thing was a matter of stretching the chassis to accommodate the 68 body shell and fitting the panels

 

Or they swapped parts around, its a custom car all the way around.

Like going with the fenders and hood off from a 67 C10 and throwing them on a 71.

The 67s had no marker lights on the fenders and the hood on the front rolled back.

 

*edit* you beat me to it lol... I was just gonna say that maybe it's a 69 and they just swapped all the 68 panels over (the 68 looks better IMO)....

remember the vent windows, door skins are one thing, but the vent windows would have to involve the whole door shell

Saw the build on Street Customs. They also fused a old charger shell onto a new charger chassis/unibody.

Ya, I don't know if it would be realistic for me to think about doing, but if in the future I have the time and money I would def. want to do this or something similar.

 

there was a place doing a similar thing for 1st gen f-bodies using a donor 4th gen
