personally I'm not sold on amsoil. I run royal purple and I've used mobil 1 not much of a difference in my opinion

I am an RP believer.. I used it in my engine and trans. I truly believe that it helped the engine alot. I had a heavy foot when responding to a emergency calls, I never worried about the engine not getting the proper lubrication when I was in the higher RPM's.

I think RP is more hype then its worth. They just got smacked by some court cause what they were putting on the bottle was false advertizing IIRC. Everyone thinks its better but its REALLY expensive and probably not worth all the extra money. I just got 5qts of castrol synthetic and a filter for $30

too bad ur truck takes 6qrts lol and fukk yah orilleys

i have used almost every kind of synthetic oil. personally i like AMSOIL te best. RP is all hype and after a while i heard it starts to wear after just 1K of use... idk i have used them all and i say MOBIL1, Costrol Edge,&AMSOIL are the best out their.

i ran maybe 2 oil changes of RP in my truck and that was it....amsoil is sooo much smoother and also lasts al lot longer. i have gone 7500miles on RP and u can hear the lifters ticking. but with the amsoil i went to 9000miles and not a problem...actually it still looked fine. but when u have amazing quality oil and a good oil filter it lasts a long time. Im a true beliver in amsoil.....even got it in my transmission and differential. and can say that the G80 feels much stronger than before.

Well mine truck ran noticeably smoother at idle up through red line on RP over mobie 1!

I ran normal oil from new til 9k mile, switched to Mobie 1 from there til 31k. Since then I have been sold on RP! I have it everyplace but in the trans!

actually most high performance engine builders don't use RP it doesn't get along well with race gas it's mainly for a street application

:yeahthat: I've used it in my Integra before, and it kinda started to make my motor smoke a tad bit, so i got it out of there. My brother uses it in his SRT-4 (engine and trans) and its a pretty noticeable difference in his car!

I just dont wanna spend 60 dollars on an oil change, i've stuck with Mobil1 since i've had my truck.

Not sure where you guys are buying mobile 1 or royal purple from but...

On amazon you can buy a 5 gallon bucket, 20qt, for 145.29 free shipping.
I am having a hard time finding mobile 1 extended performance for less than $7.50 a qt.

I don't think you can buy a 5 gallon bucket of mobile 1.

How can someone say I don't notice a difference between 1 oil and another? The real difference isn't what you feel in your butt dyno, but what actual dyno sheets say. And also the difference in wear over the long haul.

I don't think you can compare regular mobile 1 to royal purple either.

I replaced all my fluids with royal purple and I put in purple ice in the radiator. I do use mobile 1 oil filters!

For filters I use either Napa Gold, WIX or K&Ns...got them for free!

I thought all mobile 1 products were synthetic I never heard of mobil1 dino oil

No not all products are synthetic. Dino oil= standard motor oil. BTW be aware that a BUNCH of that extend performance and high mileage oil was recalled and although a its does help with higher mileage engines it also causes you seals to swell so once you start using high mileage you'll want to keep using it or you will start to have issues.
