Looks real good. The only thing bad with stainless is weight and heat soak.

 

I dont understand why this is a cold air intake and not just an intake. Can someone please make sense of this to me?

 

Its considered a cold air intake because of the "box" that surrounds the filter, blocking the hot engine bay air and pulling as much outside air as possible through the fender or core support.

 

it dont have to be stainless either but reg. steel or something painted black..just a cheaper option

 

Aluminum or SS are the only way to go on the intake; mild steel would still rust on the inside of the pipe......I would not want that sucked into the motor.

 

ill take an aluminum one if itll cut the cost lol

that shit looks hot man, youve gotta make them in aluminum so they are heat and rust resistant. If you made them in aluminum i would toss my K&N and buy yours in a heartbeat
