So I spent some money last night..

I'll take some pics when it all shows up. I was gonna go with the TSM kit for the rear and just put some new rotors on the front and paint the calipers but in the end decided I liked the look of the front and rear kit mostly looking at the pics of @rshadd truck lol.

Edit: So I finally got around to installing these Kits, the only issue we had is one of the hats that SSBC sent was not machined straight and caused the rotor to wobble but they did warranty it and they shipped me out a new one for free which worked fine once I got it.

Here are some pics from my build thread in no real order:

Having rear disks at all is the totally right 355 way.
Those though, are gonna be gorgeous..

Yeah I've looked through all his pics of his install and think I have a pretty good idea of what I'll need to do. Sucks that @rshadd & @ed-flip had to do the R&D for them though.
Take lots of pics. Lol another V8 gets an upgrade!

Question for anyone that has installed these. In this pic https://www.flickr.com/photos/rshadd/6074464033/in/album-72157626871831868/ from rshadd's album anyone know if the bradied line is long enough to reach the bolt where he put the line clamp on just above the welded mount?

I have no problem welding something on but I think it might look cleaner with the bolt on but I'm worried about the angle of the line coming out of the caliper and it causing a kink where it turns into the caliper.

I'm just curious if I could use something like this http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rus-683942/overview/

That was done because the adapter provided by SSBC that connects the factory hard line to the braided line didn't match up in my case. You see, I did the install on a Saturday couldn't get the right adapter so I end up running a new hardline and made the new hardline with the correct flare to fit the braided line. As far as I know, I'm the only that had this issue.

So, how did this project turn out? I am very interested. Please tell us your opinion of performance increase on stopping power. Did it change the petal firmness or travel distance? Thanks in advance!

lol funny you should ask, I'm still waiting for the brakes to ship. I talked to them today and according to them the front rotors are being cut/plated. And they are still waiting on blanks for rear rotors. So if you do plan ordering plan on waiting a long time.

Hilarious. You must be related to me. Anything I try to do takes forever. I have learned to be patient to get a good outcome to a project. Waited for the half years on my old Chevy restoration. Waited four months to get my Colorado motor and transmission modifications done and I have yet to be able to drive the truck!

I am anxious to see how your project turns out. I very well may be repeating your steps. My fun car has Wilwood 13"/6-piston front and 12"/4-piston rear. I'm a big fan of hauling butt. I'm not a heavy braker but occasionally the need arises to have a little more stopping power than what the factory provided you with.

I really hope your project turns out well for you. ESPECIALLY given the price tag displayed.

Maybe you should get your money back and go with the 09+ fronts and the Streetrod rears. That's what I have and love it. Plus it is a little cheaper too.

I mean i'm not an impatient person but this does seem to be a bit out of the ordinary. I'm going to be calling them tomorrow for another "update". Anyone else that has bought these kit's any idea how long you had to wait for them?

I'm not out any money yet, they don't charge until they ship. I weighed the options before I decided to buy the SSBC kits. I'm sure i'll be happy with the result if and when they ever ship.

As a business owner myself, I understand that concept. However as a Colorado owner I find this unacceptable.

Talked with SSBC today and they said they are still waiting on the front rotors. He said that it will be another "week or two" which is what they have said every time I call so whatever, i'll call them in a couple weeks if they still haven't shipped.
