ruby: the scanguage changes to almost any color you can think of.

hikeetech: a ton of us have them and IMO yes its worth it. shop around i found mine used for 85bucks i think it was. provides you with the scan tool, can read/clear codes, and just about every guage you could want...except for oil pressure really.

if i can locate another 98-01 subaru forester overhead console i'm gonna snag the clock surround from it and work the scanguage into that. gotta get one of those obd2 cable extenders though...

thats prob the best install in that spot i've seen. nice work. you have to shave down the top left corner of the scanguage itself?

you have to take apart the scan gauge completly to make it fit i didnt have to do any thing else other then try and cut and trim the bezel just right for it to fit takes some time but it is doable.

Well that was some solid work!

Can you post those pics in here too? thanks!

I had something homemade like a blendmount, personally I didn't like the placement. I found it was kinda hard to ready, the backlight isn't very bright on mine so seeing the numbers was difficult.

Yeah I love where mine is now! Thanks Paul!

i found an old ethernet cable lying around so went and picked up a female-to-female connector so i've got an extra 4' of cable to run the scangauge. took down the little bezel out of my overhead and am gonna work the SG into that. post pics when i'm done.

btw...i found that cable extension idea on ebay....yeah cost me a whole 6 bucks haha if anyone needs more info on that let me know!

well i got it done and of course rushed in putting it back in the truck. paint wasnt dry like i thought so got a couple finger print marks on it. i dont really like the black paint anyways so i'll prob take it back down at some point and clean it up.
