Just gonna ask, may not be in the picture, but are you planning on putting a relay on that?

Ok next question, I'm just trying to figure it out. How are you wiring it up: with a toggle switch, or just hard wiring to where the fogs come on when you turn the lows on.

 

I am going to add a blue led mini rocker switch under the parking brake latch handle so I get this glow from under the handle when its on. I am adding the blue led footwell lights and a modified dome light with a switch so I can use the dimmer to control the footwells without the dome coming on. SOoo everything should look alright and I wont mess with the factory look. Another added advantage is I can use the fogs along with the brights if I need to.

 

Keep an eye on the switch. In the past I've had several different toggle type switches pretty much melt on me, when being used on fog lights, but that was in my younger years before I learned of this thing they called the relay. Those little switches don't handle the continuious current very well.

 

LOL, it should do the job...it is rated for 20 amps but I appreciate the heads up

Where is the fog light switch on trucks that have 'em from the factory?

 

The first pic in the red truck is where the OEM switch is located...Beware it is an input to the BCM which then fires the lights 200 + to install to OEM vs 30 for a retrofit like I did. The other two pics are where I located mine to maintain the factory look and not get stupid with non OEM switches.

Thanks buddy, I placed the **** azz poor boy schematics in the relay tutorial if anyone should need them. Btw i went back and added a relay, old men forget to turn em off at times lol..The silver truck front end looks alot different now

Sorry for bumping an old thread but I recently learned relevant information that I think should be included regarding use of fog lights with bright beams.
Check your state regulations, it may be illegal. It technically is in my state.
