I know ive seen a How To on making your own cold air intake, it looks just like the k&n one but was make of pvc pipe or something along those lines. I searched it and could only find how to modify the stock box to make one work not how to actually make your own. Can someone help me out and post the link?? thanks

its actually pretty easy man,

1. go to homedepot, menards, lowels or any store like that
2. find a electrical pipe about 14" long, mine is grey in color. should run about 8-10$
3. get yur self some 3" rubber clamps as well around 5-6$
4. remove the stock resonator box along with clamps
5. measure the length u want the pipe to and clearance of spark plug wires
6. mark where u want the cut, cut pipe
7. install the clamps
8. install the pipe into the throttle body and air box
9. stand back and be proud of yourself
10. close hood and go for a drive

i highly suggest, i forgot to mention to get some rubber hose to fit over the air hose and get a pipe insert to install the hose, NOT THE LIL AIR FILTER SHOWN IN PICTURE... i corrected that filter after throwing codes

In Houghton, I don't really know what kind of HW shop it is. I think it might be one of those private shops. I know they have some PVC, but I don't know if they have the what I'll need. I need to check into it still.

I know down state (below the bridge) I'll be able to find what I would need, but up here can be a whole other story. I'm not going to drive all the way to marquette just to get a piece of PVC. So I'll (if possible) do it up here, or I'll wait until I am down home during christmas where I know stuff is for sure.
