It would help to also provide the name of the part, or what it is/does.

GMpartsdirect shows that part number being (and no longer available for sale there):

After doing my head, I was getting a p0017. Found out I was off 1 tooth on the Exhaust cam. Was pretty obvious when looking at the flat spots on the cams @ TDC. I think I'd messed up the guides / tensioner / chain tool. After moving the cam, the p0017 went away. Might be causing the misfire too. Although I beginning to suspect the connectors to the coil packs causing my misfires. I've just been too busy to re-pin them.

I found this article way back when Part 1 -The Basics of Crank and Cam Sensors and How to Test Them. I just decided to replace it / them because I was doing a '100k replace crap' while working on the truck.

The tool was part of a set. the wedge is EN-48464. Here's an Autozone link showing the tools / steps;

Hey Rustynuckles, I have a question I hope you can help me with on this...I have my actuator taken apart (and cleaned) and i was looking for the correct way to reassemble...I had not really meant to take it apart, so when the o-rings let the assembly come apart, I had not marked anything with alignment etc. It seems that there is only one final way it should be to be correct (the center cog has the pin and the outer sprocket aligns with the chain link) but the inner cogs are what Im having trouble with....
Is there a magic trick or easy order of alignment to get it back together or am I just out of luck...

Also, did you find the o-ring kit? I cannot seem to find a number if it exists....Thanks for any help!

No man I couldn't figure it out either.. I put I back as best I could put it back in the engine resembled everything and I was getting camshaft codes.. Un foruntaly as you may know you cannot buy a new one for year 05. I spent probily 2 months trying to figure it out . I tried calling Delphi and email but no one answered.. unfortunately it seem u may need a new motor... or find a wreked l5 engine to take the cam actuator out of. I know it sucks... best of luck just because I failed doesn't mean you will too hope you can figure it out. Gl

Check out this thread.
Another rough idle thread
He was going to use the '06 cam actuator. I have not gotten a final answer if it worked or not.
