time to start a build thread for my new truck

picked it up 8-24-13

next morning i replaced the bumper and added a lip

pic with the other trucks

now i love the look of the 20s but they would not last long the way i drive in dfw so went to remove them but the rear wheels had locks and i was given no key

a few days later i took care of that with a 17mm socket and a hammer

once i the h3 wheels on i went for a drive and the transmission went out just my luck



so i picked another trans from Mike aka LilRedRidnHood

had the stock xmember cut off and added a JTR before meeting with Mike in preparation for the swap

then me and my bro swapped the trans in driveway

finshed up today and its back on the road better than ever

its been a rough week but now its time to let the modding begin

plans are to drop it another 2" for a 4/5 drop then pick up some 17" zq8s

what the actual fuck? never seen an xmember that bad! i've seen them grinded down, but never one hit, must have been a contruction site, one of those 1" plates they lay on the road

dropped the truck a bit more today adjusted the coilovers 1 inch and added a 2 inch block

thanks guys i had to stop at the shop today because with the 4/5 drop the driveshaft was rubbing like crazy but was a easy fix

also did the bed brace since it was on the lift allready

Remember ivan, first you kill the trans xmember, then you kill the engine xmember.

Be carefull man, the engine xmember is expencive.

If i were you, id get one of james lowered skid plates somehow and use it was a warning system...

Lookin good tho.

3 inch blocks and air shocks had to cut back of cab driveshaft started rubbing again

new muffler and resonator

belltech balljoints
09 brake upgrade

how it sits now on 17in zq8s 235/45/17 up front and 235/50/17 in the rear
i plan to turn down the coilovers down another inch
