Thinking about lowering my truck (4x4)

What do you guys think? I'm tired of the shitty mileage and tbh my truck is too nice to take it off roading (my first vehicle, it's supposed to last me until I can purchase my own) Is this just stupid talk or does it make sense? I'm going to be needing new tires soon and I'm debating on getting street tires on it and lowering it. Rim size is 18". As of right now I have larger shackles, cranked TB's and rancho 5000 series shocks but that's it as far as suspension goes

What I still have on me as far as parts go are stock shackles, and stock rear (or front I forget which ones I didn't sell) shocks. I can easily un crank the Tb's. I just don't need it to be lifted anymore

Trading the truck is definitely out of the question lol I've put way too much money and time into it to just start over with a new truck. If anything, I'll just go a little lower than stock Z71 height

Your mileage will probably only increase by just a couple mpg, you may see an extra 30- 40 miles per tank, so at a savings of about 2 gallons per fill up, you'll save like $6-7. You can probably find that in the cushions of your couch. Just don't expect a drastic change.
