Howdy yall, ive been looking into a body lift for my 2005 Chevy colorado z71. I was hoping to get either the zone or the smaxx 1.5in lift but im worried the frame horns will show through the valence. Does anyone know whether or not it actually will?

Ehhh you might as well go with a 3-inch P.A body Lift.
If your gonna go through the fight with a 1.5 might as well do the 3 inch. You'll wish you did so afterwards. But i dont think it will show much of your horn if any at all. I have a 3 inch body and i cant remember if mine shows or not. You could always relocate it, it it bothers ya.

it doesn't show at all. the 1.5 smaxx lift is cupcakes compared to the PA 3in. No cutting and crap. I would have gone with the 3in though if I didn't have a manual. the Smaxx was a simple install. just took me awhile cuz I did it by myself. Simple, but tedious.

It doesn't show, they tell ya to cut to give it a little room, but u can squeeze it in there with out cutting....I cut mine and u can barley see them...they only poke out maybe 1/4 inch...not. Much at all

Install wise yes the 3" involves cutting and extending some things and the 1.5 is bolt on , hight wise well it's double the hight :/ but shows tons of frame the 1.5 is not as noticeable when looking at the body to frame hight

I think when buying a body lift its all about ur plans....I just wanted a little more clearance for when 33s where put on...if ur goin for the biggest truck u can and don't mind the extra work get the 3 inch lift

If you have an efan you don't have to cut anything. Also the 3" body lift works on a manual. I did it for like 4-5 months.

The only thing that worries me is have 32x10.5 tires and I already have a tb crank and 2in shackles. I don't want the tires to look too small.

i didn't cut my lower valance either for the ssmax 1.5BL, it's just pulled down a little i chose the 1.5BL over the 3" as i wanted as little frame showing as possible, i just needed a small boost to clear my 35's, still no future plans of going with a 3" body lift.. just shows to much body for my liking.

as others have said the 1.5BL is quite easy, i am terrible mechanically and still pulled it off, just had a buddy give me a hand on the rear end to pickup / align the truck bed on the blocks... no cutting of fan shrouds, no need to worry about running boards to cover the frame got it done in 2.5/3 hrs or so.
