Looking to pick up about 150 sq. ft. to cover the ENTIRE cab of my truck since I am now keeping it.

Going to make it as quiet as possible in there.

Looking to find out if I can find it anywhere that isn't the typical ebay place since I am looking to get so much.

Best pricing I am finding is 100 sq. ft. for about $150.

Anyone got secrets or a special warehouse behind their garage?

Amazon. It's where all of the good deals hide.

That's a shit ton of sound deadener.

Amazon and ebay are going to be your best source as others have mentioned. Might I suggest, since you'll be doing so much, to get a "roller" as well for laying it down. Normally I wouldn't use one, but for big jobs, it's really nice and only a couple bucks. Also, invest in a gallon of Acetone to clean the sheet metal you're applying it to.

hmm... Brian, thanks for that info. Looks like the best price so far for the 80 mil stuff.

Keep the links coming.. looking like $300 is the best price I have so far for the 150 sq ft.

Looks like I need to sell some things. Who wants to buy a watch? :lmao:

So how much does a 150 sqft of that stuff weigh? I'm not a weight weenie, but I don't want to add a shit ton of weight to make things alittle bit quieter.

I've been contemplating on using the liquid stuff like eDead v3 or Lizard Skin. Has anyone used it in their truck? I also have heard of using spray-on bed liner as an alternative. Thoughts?

I sprayed the entire interior of a '40 ford with Lizard Skin's sound deadening formula (there are several different formulas). The car is now done, and it's the quietest vehicle I have ever ridden in.

Yeah, I would guestimate it to weigh around 50 of 60 lbs total... Will be worth it to have it quiet in there and able to put Logan in the back.
IMO, it's absolutely worth the added weight. The heavier "thunk" when you shut the doors, quieter ride, and added insulation make our low-end chevys feel like a caddy!

We let it cure for 48 hours. Fumes were brutal. The lizard skin is the only spray on I have used, and the fatmat in my truck is my only experience with stick on, so I may not be the best person to judge. But, from my limited experience, the spray on is much quieter. The downside is that the entire interior needs to be removed and the glass taped off to do it right. The stick on stuff you can do a little bit here and there until the entire truck is done. More prep work for the spray as well. It was easy on the ford because the guy already had it stripped and everything was sandblasted and primed when I worked on it, but I went with the fat mat in my truck for the above mentioned reasons.
