So I finally decided to start a build thread to highlight my trucks progress through the years I've owned it now.... On to Pictars!

First Colorado owned for 2 years before I found the Nation.... 2005 Colorado 2.8L Automatic w/All manual interior. Bought her for $2000! It was an old rural mail truck so she had been rode hard and put away wet so to speak and had 150K on the clock... I had it 2 weeks and a girl ran a red light and t-boned me Good news however cuz her misfortune painted my entire truck for free :p

Added some BFG AT 30x9.50" tires to the stock steels

And thats it for this truck....

THEN....Traded my dad my single cab for this 2005 crew cab full power 2.8L Auto. I had been wanting another truck for quite awhile as the black truck had given me lots of problems. He got a good deal on it so we just swapped.

Got her Thanksgiving Day 2011

AND then I found the Nation and my bank account went to hell....

To be continued tomorrow

Re: My Unnamed Project

One of the first things I got was a set of factory nerf bars and found me a cam locker toolbox that worked with the crew cab bed. Also added a set of Smaxx coil spacers to level her out

Also got all of my stuff switched to LED by Clint and added a custom H3 cluster to top it all off

Then I made the worst mistake and Herculined the bed. It hasn't lasted long and won't hold up to any abuse so as soon as I can I'm getting the truck bed Linex'd.

Re: My Unnamed Project

Got a deal on a set of H3 seats front and rear for a steal

I had to sell the seats as I needed the money so I didn't keep them very long. They were such a good upgrade over the stock bench!

Got the supermod bug and swapped in some white sequential lights along with high and low beam HIDs and wired up factory fogs for the truck.

Got a factory tonneau and loved being able to keep the bed dry and store items inside. It was actually nice to keep my bed from becoming the parking lot trash can

Got a steal on a Scanguage and set it up with a blend mount to make it nice and clean looking

Re: My Unnamed Project

Next started work on the exterior and this is where I got the bug bad for modifying my truck:salute:

First came a set of 20" LTZ Tahoe wheels on the factory suspension but I had some parts already saved up for the next step....
Lifted more with 3" spindles as well as the Smaxx spacers and added load adjusting shocks to the back end with some 4" shackles. Also had to cut and reweld the center support bearing for the additional lift

Re: My Unnamed Project

Still had the lifted bug bad so I got ahold to a set of 5" CST spindles and a set of Hyper silver extremes and this was the new look. Also I got lucky and another member helped ship me some color matched Z71 flares he found in Pensacola, FL that came from a wrecked truck. I loved how they added to the overall look of the truck

At Christmas time I treated myself and the truck to a present and swapped the brakes over to the bigger 09+ setup and added Powerstop drilled and slotted rotors and pads

The past few months I got ahold to a Decoma grille and painted it to match the truck color

My Unnamed Project

Last week I swapped out my broken antenna base and added factory colormatched mirrors that I found from 2 wrecked trucks. I couldn't have gotten any luckier!

Also added a Thule roof rack for loading up stuff for camping, etc.

And this is as she sits here today!

Many more things in the works coming for her. More will happen when I graduate college and get a big boy job

Amazing how something so small makes a difference; I did this same mod about a year or two ago

Re: My Unnamed Project *Updated 10/15*

A few updates that I've done lately. Added a factory style USB and Aux input for my radio. Here's the unit I used for anyone interested. [ame]http://www.amazon.com/ASA-Electronics-JENAUX-Audio-Input/dp/B002ZNXX7C[/ame]
Removed the console and ran the wires under the carpet and cut a 1.5" in the compartment to hide the plug ins.

While I was home for Thanksgiving visiting the family I decided to gut/port my manifold out. After talking to Supermod before getting retuned he talked me into it :bestest: only had one problem tho!

Also went ahead and changed the upstream sensor since it was looking a little rough!

Next thing on my list is to swap my axle to my Dana 44 tomorrow for the SOA. Just finished cleaning the axle and adding the new brakes. All I need to do is finish plumbing it to top of off for install
