hey James, would be be possible to set a side a sequential amber kit? waiting on taxes to come back.

For YOU Jesse we can work something out.

Right now I have a small glitch issue with the switch back timing but I'm working on a resolve to have my sequential controller manage the switch back so they are synchronized. Please be patient!

Supermod,

Did you ever get the glitch worked out? I've got a new truck on order and I'd interested in this mod when I take delivery in 6 weeks or so (TPW March 5th). I'm planning on following Burn's write-up on switching headlamp DRLs to marker DRLs (Convert Headlight to Marker DRLs). Do you see any issues with your sequential mod and the above?

I'm not really a fan of the this conversion. I have a plug in play pre-made kit for this mod but I never released it do to the long term failures that others have had.

Yes we did work out the details and the new CPU controlled sequential module will synchronize both the switch back and sequential modes however expect a small price increase.

Ok - So excuse the possibly dumb question: For the switchback kit, I'd assume that it wouldn't switch between the white & amber for '06+ trucks with the headlights as the DRL? Or is that a false assumption?

got my ASSLD4's today! got em installed with no problems. i'll have the OEM harness out to you as soon as i can, probably monday or tuesday.

Any one else notice that their ASSLD4's jus arent as bright? Everything is working and all, i'm basing em off what i can see in the reflection of the back of cars in front of me (when dark out). Maybe its jus me..

#25 ·
That looks pretty good. Have you been able to confirm if this would work in similar fashion for '06+ trucks with headlight DRLs? It would be cool if the switchback design would switch to white with the parking lights on.

#27 ·
sorry about this dumb question but what is the difference between the Sequential kit and the non Sequential kit??

#28 ·
Sequential is were the inner light turns on first then at half cycle the outer light turns on giving the indications of either right or left direction.

non-sequential just means that both light bulbs turn on and off at the same time.

I did some beta testing on Rich's truck yesterday and I have decided to continue my first smart design. There are to many differences in our truck years for the typical mod.
More than several members who did the relay mod have blown their BCM modules.:th_crazy:

The Smart SDRL controller has a microprocessor were I can program it to be universal for all truck years. I will continue with that design instead. pics will follow....

keep up the great work!
