think about how you're gonna use it. Since i lifted it, i paid attention to my revs more so to save gas as well as it being convenient to be an OBDII DTC reader. Here in Cali, i have to ask homies on the downlow to scan my obd if i have a problem. It costs to pull up codes now in cali, which sucks. i mounted it under the pillar on the dash. easy to see and reach and had all the gauges i needed it to read. now that i got it, also helps me save gas. I'm sure ultra gauge is just as good, not being bias, but if some people like here said they've own both and prefer the ultra gauge over the SG, then go for it. i think the ultragauge is $60 cheaper tho

So does it or does it not do trans temp because I would like to see that when towing and wheeling

On there site it says it does not but just wondering

i have the UG. i have been using it in my car for a while now, since my cluster took a shit. the UG shows my speed, rpm, ECT, IAT, fuel level, and distance to empty. not really sure how it figures the fuel level, being that the car is a 97, but its pretty close to true.

Ultragauge does display mileage. Per trip, instant and average. It says on the web site what it will display.

I don't know exactly how accurate it is, I filled up last night with close to a gallon more than it said I used. Sure there will be some inaccuracy's between fillup amounts, but a gallon?

Anyway, it's probably inside of the same gallon MPG though. Mine said 15.3, I'm sure I was someplace in 15 MPG. I adjusted mine for proper speed since my wheels are over stock size. It will not change the dash display, so this is my speedometer.

I believe the UG says it will display trans temp on some vehicles, and I think somebody from here has the new one that does. Mine doesn't though, it was before the latest release.

also, UG does have its own forum if anyone needs more help with one. it should still be listed on their site

I was going back and forth between the scan gauge and ultra gauge, finally decided on the scan gauge only cause it would be easier to mount more places cause the ultra gauge has the buttons on the back which limits where you can put it, does look nicer though

yea. placement can be fun. i put mine up top corner of the windshield using the suction cup mount. works good there, and with the 5% tint strip, you can not see the UG from the out side.

i've switched it from the truck to the car and back. it just takes longer to load up as it scans the pcm to see what it can display.

I have a Scan Gauge mounted on the top of my steering column. I like it a lot.
