Hey guys, Im looking to upgrade my front brakes and do a rear conversion later. Right now i got a 2010 z85, running 20inch rims with 33s. My braking distance is terrible and looking to upgrade. Ive saw the ssbc kits with 14" rotors. Is that my best option here?

one of the members on here, is making a set with Wilwood. Its gonna be awesome, shouldn't be hard to find if you search for Wilwood brake kit

Yes, I have my kit mounted and now I'm conducting real world road testing.

Once satisfied I will send my adapters out for production.

How many miles are on your truck AND has the brake fluid ever been flushed?

Well since 2am I have racked up about 200 miles of road testing; more to follow

Yeah I'm pretty sure I got the last kit from them but ColoradoPerfection you can call them and ask if that is what you want, but i'm sure they still do not have a manufacturer for the front rotors. Best bet is to do what the others have said and wait until 1BADI5 has his front kit in production.

As for the rear Street Rod Manufacturing is still an option and If I recall correctly 1BADI5 was saying he was going to look into a rear wilwood kit as well but you would have to ask him to be sure.

Initial feel is......... be careful, steering wheel taste like shit :kiki:

I'm going to bleed them again this week and report back

H3 rear swap = ROYAL P.I.A. not to mention brutally expensive (I think one guy paid 600 just for the axle)

Better off just buying the rear bracket and rotors from TSM and either getting JY calipers or reman's from parts store or you can slap some Wilwood D154 calipers on there like Andrew @BridgestonePHM9 did. However, if you go the Wilwood route, you will need to turn down the rear rotors down to 290 mm so they will clear the slide pins, and ever so slightly grind down where the rotor rests above the bolt holes.

@ColoradoPerfection

I'd recommend some Stainless Steel brakelines and some EBC YellowStuff pads if you want an upgrade on a budget.

If the OP is 2WD, there is always the izuzu rear end swap option...I've seen them go for $75 with 3.73, lockers, and disc brakes.

Just a thought.

Check out R1 Concepts for rotors and pads, they have some good stuff
for sale.
